Broadcasting Algorithm
•Only selected nodes rebroadcast
–Adjust Backoff Time (BT) inside a contention window (CW) within Traffic Class (802.11e) depending on distance* from source
–The furthest node has the shortest BT →
rebroadcast the data first
–Nodes hearing this rebroadcast terminate their own rebroadcast effort
* Future Work: BT will depend also on speed & vector of motion of vehicles
